I'm not sure why I take these pictures. If our current house doesn't sell in the next couple of months, we're going to half to walk away from this one.
Which won't be that great a disappointment since:
A: We've put so much work into our current house that it would be easy to live in.
B: We wouldn't have to move -- I hate moving.
C: We would get to stay with out neighbors who we love dearly.
And yet, I assume that it will sell and we will move. It feels like there is momentum in the universe that is pushing in that direction and I try not to fight against universal momentum because it is bigger than me.
...and usually pushes me in better directions that I would take without it.
HUH? Your building a house. I give in. Hubs doesn't want to move. We've been through the house thing already. I wish we had a bit more space. But in 'my' reality, I am happy with the place we have, just wish we could purge more. Who wants another big house to fill up and fret over...I watch people like you and learn the lesson :) Good luck either way...
ReplyDeletePictures of a house being built are interesting - therefore, please keep posting them!
ReplyDeleteAnd whatever the outcome, there will always be reaaons for preferring one thing over the other. It is then up to you to find the right reasons for being happy with the situation you'll find yourself in - or change it.
Flexibility is the one thing retired folks must hold close...life is too painful if our ruts get too deep.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got your color back Mark. Looks like you are going to have a nice sized house. Doesn't look much downsized to me. I remember when we left our old house, it was too small, I loved the new house but hated to leave the neighborhood and my already mature lawn and landscape. But as in a couple of weeks we will be saying "As time goes by."

I think your universal momentum might be my what's meant to be. Or, as my grandson says, "When the planets are aligned there's not much point getting in their way." Meanwhile, it's interesting seeing a house coming into being.
