When I lived in Massachusetts, I remember snow in April. But here it is only the middle of February and the green grass is starting to pop through the dried brown grass of Just Past Summer.
Of course, the prickly balls from the gum tree are still falling. And I am still picking them up.
we had Spring for two days. snow mostly melted, sunny, 50 degree temps. well...... last night, 8 to 10 inches overnight and 30 to 40 mph winds. winter in Michigan again....
ReplyDeleteHey, we had those same seasons in San Diego! And in Minneapolis there was winter, just past winter, July 4th, and almost winter.
ReplyDeleteSend some of that mild weather over here, please! I am longing for spring and find it harder to deal with winter and cold weather every year. Maybe I should just move somewhere nice and warm.
ReplyDeletePrickly balls. . . now there's a sore subject.
ReplyDeleteTo have seasons is nice; of course some are nicer than the other one(s)! :-)
ReplyDeleteSome seasons are nice than others per Peter, that is so true. A few sunny days here now snow is forecast again. Just hanging on.

No! That means that my hemisphere is heading into autumn. And it feels like we haven't even had a proper summer yet!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fairy tale land you live in where the gum tree grows and there's grass in February. Frozen tundra up here--they can't even bury people until spring.
