Friday Shootout - Critters or Critter as the case may be

Not the greatest week at the Bagman and Butler office...watching sadly while children, who thought they were adults, add another data point to America's divorce statistics.  Wondering how the grandchildren are holding up.   I can't get too judgemental since I orchestrated a divorce of my own back before I began to learn what love actually meant.

But I'll post one picture just to hold on to my own sense of normalacy.

I'm not sure this couple will be together all that long either.

BAGMAN:  "Nice job of pouring cold water on the Friday Shootout."

  1. I'm terribly sorry to hear the news, Mark. Sometimes it's really for the best, though; it isn't necessarily better for kids to be brought up surrounded by stress and fighting. You will love them steadily.
    Fabulous photo, by the way!

  6. Yes, it always hurts when families tear apart. It seems to be going around. I just got some similar news the other day in my family. It's sad.

I like your photo though, it's awesome.

  10. Been there, done that, just celebrated #35 with my children's stepdad who has made a much better father than their own father did. We not only grow up, Mark, we often grow apart in doing so. Your steady, unconditional love of those grandchildren will help to get them through. In the case of one of our kids, the teenage son seemed more mature and understanding of the situation than either of the parents. He survived well -- better, I think, than the parents who split.

We have your lizards cousins here. Our pup, Beau, sometimes puts an early end to their marriages.....

  14. Those lizzards are such an Odd Couple. I almost missed the drab one as it's partner is pretty spectacular and demands attention. Hang in there!

  16. Sorry about the sad news. I think it's the feeling of helplessness that is so hard, there's nothing you can do to relieve the anguish of those you love - except carry on loving them! I remember finding if very hard to accept it could be for the best. (But it was!)
Your odd couple shot is sort of fitting!
