I missed Friday. Missed posting and missed lookng. Time and motivation a bit scarce these days. But I'm not dead or totally missing yet. So here are two old weathered shots.
And a batch of old kind of funny shots I took sometime ago...and if I had found the negatvies earlier would have used for the "Signs" theme.
Isn't it odd that we often embrace attempts to make our things look old and weathered, even when they are not. Seeing the cracked and weathered paint reminded me of a friend that recentley did all of the trim in his house with very expensive crackle paint, so that he could make the wood look like it was not just painted.
ReplyDeleteGood choice of photos.
Hey B&B nice photos. Check out my blog today. You inspired me.

ReplyDeleteLove the second weathered thing. The colors got me hooked. I'm busy snapping shots of Mexico color. Love the light intensity. Can't wait to download the images on Tuesday so I can see them on a bigger screen.

You came through like a true Friday shootout trooper. Like your old and weathered shots. And then you amused us with cartoons. You get extra points for that.
ReplyDeleteGlad you posted. I was beginning to worry about you.
That first shot is worth framing.
ReplyDeleteGood to see you around ...I always miss your energy.
is that window in the first photo actually a false window? I can see the bricks.
ReplyDeleteLove the shots!
ReplyDeleteThese buildings are old and weathered alright. Someone would twist an ankle coming out of that first place. Have you been visiting Metropolis or Gotham City lately? Pow, crash, pop! Great post! Sorry the visit is late.
