Friday Hometown Shootout -- too little, too late, and some other stuff

I missed Friday.  Missed posting and missed lookng.  Time and motivation a bit scarce these days.  But I'm not dead or totally missing yet.  So here are two old weathered shots.


And a batch of old kind of funny shots I took sometime ago...and if I had found the negatvies earlier would have used for the "Signs" theme.

    Isn't it odd that we often embrace attempts to make our things look old and weathered, even when they are not. Seeing the cracked and weathered paint reminded me of a friend that recentley did all of the trim in his house with very expensive crackle paint, so that he could make the wood look like it was not just painted.
    Good choice of photos.

    Love the second weathered thing. The colors got me hooked. I'm busy snapping shots of Mexico color. Love the light intensity. Can't wait to download the images on Tuesday so I can see them on a bigger screen.

    I like the first photo very much - I just got back from a two caiprinha lunch so I didn't really understand the signs.... LOL, maybe after a nap I.ll try again.

    These buildings are old and weathered alright. Someone would twist an ankle coming out of that first place. Have you been visiting Metropolis or Gotham City lately? Pow, crash, pop! Great post! Sorry the visit is late.
